The South London Gay Bridge Group has been going for three decades now, and has attracted many members in that time. We meet every Wednesday, from 6.30pm until late, mostly around the Balham/Brixton/Dulwich/ Wansworth Common areas in each other’s homes. A light or main meal, and a cheeseboard or dessert, will be offered as most peple come after work.  We play social Chicago and join tables in order of arrival. People bring their own drink, usually a bottle of wine, lager, cider or fruit juice. We have a wide age and ability range, and play bridge in a relaxed, fun and chilled out environment, as the emphasis is more on having a social and fun evening out, than on playing competitive bridge. However we do run occasional duplicate afternoons where we take the bridge a little more seriously.

For those who have some basic idea of bridge, and are willing to learn and improve, we sometimes offer some tuition at the beginning of some Wednesday evenings,  at other times -the friendly discussion goes on anyway throughout the evening!
